Ft Campbell
Fort Campbell is on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee. Fort Campbell is home to the 101st Airborne Division and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Ft Campbell is also the home of the 101st Airborne Division, Air Assault. The base was named after William B. Campbell, Governor of Tennessee.
Nashville TN is 60 miles from Ft Campbell and a popular attraction for visitors and soldiers alike.
The site for Camp Campbell was selected on July 16, 1941, and the Title I Survey was completed November 15, 1941
